Professor Erika Doss of the University of Notre Dame will lecture on the topic of her latest book, “Memorial Mania” (University of Chicago Press, 2010). The talk will address such issues as why we make so many memorials in America today, and what they mean. The talk will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library, with coffee and snacks available outside of the theater starting at 5:30.
